Anti-Orthopoxviruses A27 Monoclonal Antibody (MP-X9) (Mouse IgG2a, kappa)(MPYF-0822-YF9)
This antibody recognizes Orthopoxviruses A27. The isotype is Mouse IgG2a, kappa. It can be used in applications: Immunogold electron microscopy; IP; WB; ELISA; FC; IF.
Product Description
Species Reactivity
Orthopoxviruses
Cross Reactivity
Monkeypox Virus
Specificity
This antibody identifies ECTV and several other orthopoxviruses. Its epitope is localized on a tetrapeptide at the VACV homologue A27. Ectromelia virus (ECTV), belonging to the Poxviridae family and Orthopoxvirus genus, causes mousepox. Orthopoxviruses are linked to monkeypox.
Immunogen
Sucrose-gradient purified Ectromelia virus (ECTV) Strain Munich 1

Mouse IgG2a, kappa
Clonality
Monoclonal Antibody
Purification
Protein A affinity purified
Applications
Immunogold electron microscopy; IP; WB; ELISA; FC; IF
Application Notes
This antibody is recommended for detecting and analyzing Orthopox viruses, particularly Ectromelia virus (ECTV). The mouse IgG2a version of this clone (EM-5B1/2G6) was also used to create an ELISA capture assay as a capture antibody, making it an excellent candidate for developing an anti-orthopox virus detection assay.
